Getting started with Robot Framework

Robot Framework is a generic open source automation framework that is used widely around the world in various domains ranging from web based systems to embedded devices. It has easy-to-learn plain text syntax, great logs and reports, and ready-made integration to various interfaces such as web, different GUI technologies, databases, REST, and so on. Its origins are in test automation, but it can also be used for Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

In this presentation we will first get an overview of the framework and its features. After that we will learn how easy it is to create maintainable tests for a web application using the SeleniumLibrary and how to extend the framework with custom test libraries.
